Last Saturday Duane McCabe from Precision came over to replace the snapped torsion spring on our garage door. He arrived within a couple hours of our call. I was impressed with his professionalism. He assessed the damage and suggested our options in a clear manner, answered all my questions, and then did the work quickly and efficiently. We got new springs and new rollers, all better than the originals. He also taught me a few things about garage door systems I never knew before and showed me what to do for ongoing maintenance. Our garage door opens more smoothly and more quietly than it ever did - even when it was new. The entire process took about an hour. Duane and Precision exceeded our expectations in every way. I will be recommending them to anyone who ever asks me about garage door repairs. Thanks!

When I last called Precision to fix one of our two garage door openers, Gary pointed out that they had been installed improperly and were the wrong size/power for our doors. He warned us that the gear problem that destroyed one of the units would probably occur in the other unit within a year or so. Sure enough, he was right, and I knew just who to call to get the job done right. Fast, friendly, and efficient. He not only reprogrammed our openers so that they now operate both doors, but also repaired, free of charge, one of the damaged axle wheels on the garage door that was causing it to buckle. Should that door eventually need to be replaced (and Gary said it probably will, somewhere down the road), once again I'll know exactly who to call. Thanks, Precision! Brian Cummings

My husband has been trying to fix our 20+ year old garage doors for years, and finally this weekend he agreed to call a professional. I called Precision on Saturday and they scheduled Mike to come out on that Monday between 9-11. Mike showed up right on time, and immediately knew what the problem was. The doors both needed entire overhauls.He gave me an accurate quote and time estimate, explained why that were out of code and wouldn't pass a home inspection, and an hour and a half later, they were running great! He didn't try to upsell me in to something I didn't need and was very thorough and efficient! This type of work is not cheap, but is not meant for the DIY'ers!! My husband could have saved himself a lot of time and aggravation and running around for parts if he had called these guys years ago. This may sound canned but it is really true. I would definitely recommend Precision.

A nice man From your company acme to our home, He told us to fix our garage door it would cost $1300. We decided to wait and think about it. We paid $79 fee. The new repair man just left....he charged us $250.00 and he replaced the springs and the cable and he did NOT have to replace the opener, as your man said would need to be done. Glad we waited well worth wasting the $79.00.

I am sorry you did not feel that you had a good experience. You did, however, leave out details that change the whole story. The inspection of your door revealed that the springs, cables, and rollers were extremely worn. Specifically, the rollers were not rated for your door and basically was the catalyst for most of your issues. The pulleys were also showing signs of excessive wear -- and unless replaced would prematurely wear out your new springs. We suggested that you replace all those parts, but also gave you an option to replace the springs and pulleys for nearly the same price that the other garage door company charged you. We suggested a new opener -- due to the fact that the unbalanced door had caused the PVC gears to start stripping (look inside your opener cover and you will see the shavings from the gears). We certainly did not tell you you had to replace the opener or replace the rollers -- they were suggestions. Our belief is that we owe it to our customers to explain what is wrong with their door, offer options to fix it (usually a good, better, best type of scenario) and then do what the customer wants. We believe in educating the customer -- we do not employee pressure sales tactics.

Duane McCabe,provided the estimate for the job to be done. He was prompt(actually early) to the appointment he was knowledgeable and answered all question his recommendations made sense. I asked him if he would be the installer of the equipment. He replied in the negative to wit I told him I was disappointed because in a short hour I trusted him. The above may sound a little maudlin, but I purchase costly items based on knowledge of product and trust in the individual/company. let's hope that the crew that installs everything lives up to my expectations.

I liked the fact that Precision was very accommodating and willing to work around my scheduled. That was only exceeded by the wonderful service that Tom Rinaldi provided. He was very efficient in diagnosing and repairing the problems plus offered additional advise and maintenance with the other garage door. I was very pleased!

The tech checked out the doors, recommended a few improvements, but didn't try to sell anything, which was great. He replaced the metal rollers with nylon ones, and installed safety cables. Was in an out in what felt like an hour. Super job!

The technician came on the earlier time of appointment and fixed the problem quickly. It was a realignment of sensor eyes so garage door closed. Tom also added another bolt to ceiling fixture since he saw it was loose. This is at least the third time I have used Precision Doors and would recommend them.

I have been using Precision to service my garage doors since 2006. I found the service technician friendly and knowledgable. I called this time because a cable broke. I was hoping to just replace the cable. Gary reviewed our system and pointed out what needed to be replaced. I had him replace the springs, cables and rollers on both doors. This was more service than I had planned on, I believe that it will avoid further problems and service calls.

I learned about Precision through my AAA membership and took advantage of an offer for a Tune Up for my 2 garage door openers. Gary called to say he was on the way and arrived on time for the appointment. He was extremely knowledgeable and recommended a full rebuild, replacing with better quality springs, cables, rollers. Although I hoped the Tune Up plus a new cable would suffice, Gary convinced me it would be worth it to replace all the junky parts. He did an extremely professional job, finished within 90 minutes, and now my garage door openers seem like new, with a 7 yr warranty on parts and labor. I must admit I suffered sticker shock at the price of the rebuild but I am happy with the outcome. I'm no longer worried about my doors failing this winter. Gary refused my tip.
