In order to be fair I will score based on each aspect of my experience. I called precision because my web search found them first with advertised same day service. Prompt service grade 1.. I was told two day wait. Actual service performed by the technician was pleasant and efficient. Grade 5. Cost was very high.the repair was simple, replace cables $198.. Grade 1

We are sorry that we didn't live up to your expectations. We did listen to the phone call... we offered you earlier appointments they simply didn't fit with your schedule. As a result I'm not sure its fair to grade us on a two day wait! As indicated by your safety survey report indicates, there was a lot of issues with your door. The cables were broken (which we replaced), but we did have to spend time adjusting other parts to make sure the door would work properly. We still recommend you address the issues we suggested -- even if you go to another garage door company. If not you are going to have serious issues with your door in a couple years. Again we apologize that we were unable to provide you the level of service you expected.

We had a garage door that was out of alignment. The service technician arrived early in the 2 hour commitment window, and identified the problem almost immediately. Before he left, the parts were already on order, with a promise they'd be ready to install 'early next week'. Not 3 hours later I got a call to schedule the parts replacement the following Monday. Terrific service, and fair prices - what more could you ask for!

I am very pleased with my two new garage doors. The installer, Derek Desjardins, did a wonderful job. This was not an easy install because he had to contend with snow, ice and bitter cold. He was very personable. My only slight complaint would be that it did take a long time from the date of ordering the doors to the date of installation. It would be a good idea to give the customer occasional updates on the time schedule.

I was pleased with the service Matt provided today. He was on time, courteous and went out of his was to be sure everything was working properly before he left. The only negative was that I originally had an appointment two days ago. Apparently the technician who was scheduled was running late but no one called me until after my two-hour window had expired. However, I won't hesitate to call again because in the end I am very satisfied.

Ron Lecours did an outstanding job. He explained the issues and made several recommendations on what needed to be done. We replaced springs, rollers and cables and he made all the necessary adjustments. He was very professional and knowledgeable, came even earlier based on a confirmed phone conversation. He was in and out in about 1 hr and the garage door is now functioning even better.

To be quite honest, this was my first experience with Precision. I got them from the internet. I called with an emergency and was given a 2 hour window as to when a tech would arrive. To my surprise, he did arrive well within the time frame I was given. He was very professional and friendly. Unfortunately, after checking to find my problem, he didn't have the part with him. He adjusted my garage door so that I could manually open and close it, and promised to return the following day to install the broken part. The tech arrived the next day (which happened to be a Saturday}. He worked around my schedule to make his visit convenient for me and he replaced the broken part within a very short period of time. I have to say that my first experience with Precision won't be my last. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give them a 6!!! I also want to say that my tech, Alex, is the reason I am so impressed with Precision.

The service tech came early and he really knew his stuff. Diagnosed a long-vexing problem quickly and solved it. I had one garage door that would never close and finally it works. He explained the work he was doing and why. I had three garage doors completely tuned and working like new. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I believe the price was fair and the entire experience was excellent.

I had a tough Garage door repair. I needed new springs which were special order (I have a 60 year old solid wood double garage door) and I needed a new Garage door opener. I had your tech repair my door and replace a number of parts. I was concerned over the cost he had quoted me but convinced me that the parts he was using were top notch. This was my fault for not researching how much the parts actually cost. You charged me $240 for a set of springs (Just the parts) and the rest of the parts and labor cost me $580. Looking online I see the exact same parts for a fraction of the cost. $60 to $80 for a set of springs and $35(for 10) for the special "11 bearing" rollers". Again my fault for being uninformed but I will not make the same mistake and use another company when it is time to do the other door. I also had a friend ask me about my door because he needed a new opener and I relayed the story so you will not be hearing from him.

We source the best parts we can find and that is why you received a 7 year warranty. Our competitors typically only give you a one year warranty with the purchase of a new door and 90 days with repairs. These warranties should clearly indicate the difference between the parts we use and those you researched. We also did give you an option to replace fewer parts at a substantially lower price. Over time you will be happy with the choice to go with the better warranty as you will more than likely never have an issue with your door.
